ITU – the International Telecommunication Union allocate global radio spectrum and satellite orbits, develop the technical standards that ensure networks and technologies seamlessly interconnect, and strive to improve access to ICTs to underserved communities worldwide, has a membership of 193 countries and almost 800 private-sector entities and academic institutions.
Itu developed over 7600 active standards used worldwide till the year 2018.

What is TIES?
TIES access is provided, on demand, to staff from ITU Members (Member States, Sector Members, Associates, and Academia). TIES provides personalized access (through a username and a password) to a number of services. TIES services are provided to support the participation of Members in the activities of the Union and include email, online collaboration tools, access to ITU meeting documents, automatic email notifications, etc.
